First post on this board, so hello guys. Anywho the guys at MSD hooked it up with a free two step system. They are located here in my city, and a friend told me they needed a 5.0 to do a install on. Took it in yesterday and got it back today. Clean install, and super easy as its pretty much plugging in on the factory harnesses. If you look at the pics you don't see it, unless you look for it. Inside the car the switch is straight to the clutch pedal switch so everything is clean. They had a 5.0 they were doing a turbonetics turbo install on, with two step, but was automatic so they needed mine to do the two step install and have pictures of on a manual transmission. I believe they said was mm&ff taking the pics. Eric at msd said it was fine to post this up.

pics are from my phone

Don't the hand helds already let you reset the "clutch in" max RPM which is effectively a 2 step? I thought I remember reading somewhere that the SCT X3 had this feature.

Would you mind finding out if it's the same part#(8734) as the 2-Step for the 05-10 4.6s? I bought one for my 07 but never installed it, and I emailed MSD like 2 months ago to ask if it would work on the 5.0 and they never responded! thanks bro!

The SCT 2 step and the MSD 2 step don't do the same thing. MSD is nice, but the N2MB WOT box has more features.

i believe its ignition cut. truth be told this is first time i mess with a 2step. in the past mustang i had i didnt have one. i say its ignition because eric at msd told me since i still have cats that to not get on it too long because the fuel being dumped on the cats will of course damage them.

theres lil dials on the two step itself to set up the desired revs.

they gave me instructions to it, but of course i havent read them, and just gotten on it instead.

from what i was told its a proven system, as its been pretty much the same from previous models. the diff being that this one is plug and play for the 5.0 engine itself. below is a pic of the system itself that they snapped

Don't use it with cats. Mine lasted 3 passes at the track then they failed and blocked the pipes.
