I come from a lifestyle that warrants large wheels, and tiny tires.

I totally disagree with your ratrional here, there is no such thing as "warrants" anything about anything you do to your car. That's why it's yours, not theirs. If you "Want" them that is reason enough, but you should never allow any outside forces to make you do anything to your car.

I also realize that since I am the one writing a check for $40K that I will do anything I feel necessary to my mustang.

That is the key to the entire thread, Your check, your ride, you get to "customize" it they way you want.

What I will say is this, Mustangs DO NOT make good "Big Wheel Cruisers" They are American Muscle and should be treated as such. The entire reason for large tires and rims was to fill that ugly gap between the tire and the fender wells. If your looking for a "Big Wheel" why dont you think about a BMW instead?

As far as I'm concerned, anything with 24" rims looks like a floater. It's not my car, I don't have to drive it.
I c wat ya did thar ....
the dealer adding HID's once it gets to them isn't a problem, however it is extremely expensive. I believe they quoted my at around 3K for just the HID's, so I didn't even ask about the cluster. And at that point it the logical thing to do is exactly what you said, sell all the stuff I take out. However I still have audio stuff laying around from builds back in 2005, and I partly feel like I will talk myself into keeping all the extra crap around the house :asshat:

I may end up with 22's I need to see a mustang on 22's or 24's in person first
Go to youtube....there is a grabber blue mustang on 22's that doesn't look horrible :)
I really dig the TSX retrofit....I know plenty of people who have done it on their sn-95 stangs and I was planning on it on mine till it went boom lol

I think a set of the Forgiatos posted earlier in 22 inch sizes would still be amazing wheels!

Plus ^^^^ 1

tigerhonaker

+2 !

Gonna have to agree, the Forgiatos in 22 SHOULD be your choice for show/wifey nite :p
I dig em, they aren't so bad you'll have to worry about your show rims when ya take the lady out (even in fl....I know that all of the roads in Orlando aren't perfect ;) )
You won't have fitment issues with tire/fender when you turn to full lock (as much)
Don't forget that tires will give your wheels protection....more tire=cheap insurance ;)

Whatever you decide to d, keep us posted sir...good luck to you!

yes, please don't put a truck spindle on your new mustang.
It's your car and it seems like you're aim is to compliment the car and not just put gargantuan wheels on it, but PLEASE! lol

oh, btw, if you haven't already found it; lookup galpin auto sports. they have several custom mustangs with 22s, 4s, and 6s on them.

OP, put that thing on 30's if you want. As ugly and tasteless as some of these fucks make their cars look, they don't have any room to talk about what does and does not look good. Jesus, some people act like you are a communist if you want a big rim on your car. Fucking stupid.

Can you really include that one in any discussion about taste? According to the description it was a one off for the Kick-Ass movie. It does make a nice bench though.
They do have some pretty nicely done cars. Just not the Air Force ones - neat but ugly as fuck and only used to show kids what the Air Force can offer? Wheres the brooms and the buckets of bullshit? That stuffs not incorporated in the design.

Just so the members are aware.

I have asked nuclearmuscle on a few occasions via PMs to calm certain type of posting down. he's continued to ignore my requests. He also had received an infraction warning over his posting. he then ignored posts in this thread after I cleaned it up.

As a result he now wears a new color.

make sure you do lambo doors as well. from my experience, the type of lifestyle that warrants 24's also warrants lambo doors

I doubt this will make any "Difference" to you but do you really think
this Post and the Comments to (Stkjock) is necessary.
You know at 21 yrs. old you have hopefully a lot of yrs. left and the way you are acting now is not saying a lot for you in the yrs. to come.
Unless you change a lot based on the Post you have done here on S197.
