05 gt p0191 error code

Hey everyone,

Engine threw code p0191
Car run fine, i notice when turn the ignition without starting the engine, I can hear the fuel pump continuously pumping , with a high pitch once started

Usually it would prime and turn off until you start the car.

Could it be my fuel pressure sensor went out?

Car run's perfectly fine, but I am afraid something is keeping the pump at 100% duty cycle and may burn that out!

If anyone got some insider on this, please let me know.

Fuel cap tight?

(I had this issue on another vehicle when the attendant (Oregon) didn't put the cap on tight. The system wouldn't pressurize correctly.)

Does it drive ok? Have you datalogged fuel pressure under cruise and load? It could definitely be a bad fuel pressure sensor.

i drove the car, hard! No miss , no bog! but it does smell of gas when i accelerate hard.
car is running a bit rich, but not enough to trigger any cel rich codes

What do you mean it smells like gas. Out of the exhaust when you stop, or in the cab while your accelerating?

never mind looks like it was someone going rich infront of me
did not smell any type of fumes or gas today

when i clear the code I would get code
p1000 (yea that normal
p0191
p1237
Later on as i keep driving p1237 would vanish with only p0191 remaining

well replaced the fuel pump pressure sensor and that did not do nothing.

so my last guess is the fpdm

Well a quick update,

I replaced the fuel filter, Fuel pressure sensor @ the rail and the fuel pump driver module and the issue still continues pump is still continuously running when the key is turned on , with the engine off.

I think i'm just going to go over to ford and see what wrong.

I just had the same code and it was my fuel pump. But my car would turn over, but not run at all..

table is saying proper voltage to pump
pump is reporting negative voltage... ?
Anyone has a 2 cent to kick in?

when i changed my filter , tones of water and rusty liquids came out of it

than i discovers this video
