What changed in the 3vs 09-10 vs 05-08

Yes. As far as factory engine goes.

I'd like to know the differences as well. I picked up my 2010 in January and love the car. I paid about $7k-$10k less than a comparatively equipped 2011+.
All i have read indicates the additional power comes from the revised intake and some engine tuning. I haven't heard anything else. I hope someone else can state the facts.
Mods don't count. We're talking factory engines here.I agree on the revised tune and intake. We're only talking 15hp at the flywheel. I took care of that with my own CAI and tune for a better increase. If anything, the 07-09 engines might be a slightly better design than the 05-06 models with little things like 1-piece plugs.
As for the price of a 2010 being $7-$10K less than a 2011, I'm sure we're missing some key ingredient in that equation. 2011 GTs are selling for $21K-$24k around here and the 2010s are $18-$20K. A 05-06 can be found at dealers for $11-$14K. Leaves plenty of free cash for bolt-ons.
