Nice run!
My 5r55s w/PI converter held up to plenty of runs, but that was with only around 500 at the wheels and no spray, and 93 octane only. But it also had some upgrades.
Not willing to risk breaking it, opted for a 4r70w. Waiting to get to the track with it, along with more boost and methanol injection.

So the 5r55s can handle power, just how much past its rated "550" is questionable, if any.

I will say it again; est 800 hp with a 138 trap speed and 10 passes at the track on the same day so the 5R can take some abuse.

My bone stock 5R55S is holding up well- my car isn't a powerhouse, but when I drive it I lay into it pretty hard every time, repeatedly. It's got 30-40 high 11/low 12 second passes in it too.
