Been busy the last couple weeks. Finally go around to getting the hood open. Ended up doing as someone suggested and removed the splash guard. Wasn't to hard to take off.

Anyways, here is looking up into the engine bay from beneath and then the rest is what was under the hood.

Look at how easy and simple that engine is to work on. Air/Gas/Spark..boom.

Thanks for the update!

Got around to playing some more today. Goal was to get the motor out. Then I remembered how much rust old cars have. So instead time was spent fighting rust. Pretty much got the bottom of the car ready for the motor to come out. So shifter linkages, exhaust pulled off while I was under there. All the things that are normally simple.

After pulling the exhaust, it appears there may have been a rodent living in it at some point.

Since one thing is starting to lead to another, we have decided to just go ahead and restore it to our wants instead of preserving it in it's present condition.

Awesome story and beautiful car. Looking forward to the updates. Can't get over how clean it is after sitting so long.

Elliott and another buddy came over the last couple days and helped get the motor out. What a PITA. I guess engineering back in the day was hard without computers. This shit that had to come off was just plain stupid.

Since Paris's Dad has been a photographer for much of his life, he has 100's of pictures of the car. This picture was taken with film and developed via a dark room (not photoshop) the way it is now.

The picture was taken in the late 60's. This car is on the right.

The '62 on the left was her mom's before it was totaled shortly after the picture was taken. Notice the consecutive license plates.

That picture is absolutely awesome.

So is the work you're doing on the car but...that pic...

When we pulled the engine on my dad's 76 Vette it wasn't fun either.

Killer project, but looking at your pictures reminds me why I moved from Buffalo NY. This should be a pretty sweet ride when you're done.

In for updates. Any progress lately? You have a real gem there. Amazing the condition for as long as it was sitting. Can't wait to see the finished project.

So not much has happened. Changed out the brake lines, and the rest has come to a stop for a while.

However, we have it on the calendar for the project to start back up again memorial day weekend.
