I had the oil life TSB performed yesterday along with one of my free oil changes. The car was telling me to change the oil at ~5,000 miles instead of 10,000.

I'll let everyone know if the oil life is longer now.

Many people are suffering from this condition, even for build dates before 8/17. Why that build date (and after) only?

It's crazy how many people have the noise and some don't. Mine 2012 was built 05/16/2011 and it is pretty damn quiet compared to the storys you here. I hope I don't run into this issue. I only have 550 miles on the the clock and I pray it will stay quiet. When the engine is fully warm I can here the injectors, but nothing louder than my 3v was.

My "piston slap" didn't start until I had almost 4000 miles. Of course, I had that many miles before the weather got cold, so I can't say for sure if it was there the whole time or not.

This thread makes me sick to my stomach. Here is a "for instance"...my car has an agressive 93 Lund cam tune, and a lethal O/R X.....If the car took a dump, and I put every stock part back on and returned the tune to stock, Would someone mind telling me how the fuck the dealership would know if something was modified? I'd just tell them that I let it sit with the battery disconnected....It's the same P1000 code right?! I'd even go and pick up new exhaust hardware for the X pipe....

Is this just a case of morons not willing to spend a few hours returning their cars to stock before they stroll into the dealer??

Second question, has anyone seen any longevity issues with Lund's "Cam" tune?
