Well we have results from yet another JDM Super Stock Camshaft package installation. This time from our friends at Realspeed Automotive in NY. We sold their customer Brian, our Super Stock Camshaft Upgrade. He brought the cam package along with a set of American Racing Longtube Headers and X pipe for installation/tuning. The testing was performed on a loaded Mustang dyno. The numbers may appear a little low at first but remember the car was totally stock except the High flow S&B filter and FRPP resonator delete pipe. The car is still currently running the Stock Supercharger pulley configuration, Stock Air box, and Stock throttle body! This thing is begging for a JLT Cold Air, Mono blade, and 10% OD pulley! Total gains were 104 RWHP and 52 TQ!! You can see there is NO LOW END POWER LOSS and the engine is breathing much easier as the boost stays steady instead of ramping up like it did stock. The Exhaust and Camshafts help alleviate restriction and allow the engine to perform more efficiently. Low rpm boost increase is due to both the cams decreased low rpm efficiency and improved throttle angle from the Realspeed tune. High rpm boost decrease comes from more efficient airflow through the engine due to the cams and headers."
