Ok, I want to lower this car on a set of BMR spring that I already have.
I just got these wheel shadow chromed by Prince Wheel Service.
I just bought the tires.

Now this is what I got:

This is making me sick to my stomach....

Examples of how they fit on a car with same listed wheel specs and tire specs (except the brand in Nitto, which apparently runs much narrower):

^That setup is said to no rub by the owner.

Yes. Full BMR stuff ready to go. PHB, LCA with relo, UCA with mount

This is at stock ride height with stock everything install with these wheels. 1/4" poke on each side.

Your offset should be at least 45mm. I have 10 x 18"s on the rear with nitto 285-40-18's ( NT-555). My 10" rear rims have a 45mm offset. They just barely fit in the wheel wells. ( that was with a BMR adj PHB...later replaced with a WL- watts link).

The bigger the offset, the more inboard the rims sits. Smaller the offset, and it will sit further outboard. 5mm = .2" That's why ur sticking out on each side. Didn't even think you could get a 10" wide rear in anything less than a 45mm offset.

Your offset is not enough..and there is no fix for that. Prez of local mustang club bought new rims 2 yrs ago.....same deal... his 285's on 20" rims, 10" wide, stuck out a whopping 15mm (.6" on each side). He had bought 10" wide rims..with a 30mm offset. Expensive mistake. His rims he had bought were not intended for the rear ( or front) of a mustang.

A 305 is a big tire, 20mm wider than a 285mm. That's another 10mm (.4") on each side.

I understand offset. What killed me here is one brand running narrower/wider than the other (Nitto, Cooper).

Latemodel Resto calls for a 275/35/20 with these wheels. But Ive seen examples such as the Grabber Blue one that managed to get away with 305/35/20 on a 20x10 (40 offset) with Nittos. What kills me is how close the 275/35/20 and 305/35/20 MT Sport Comps (big thread on here about them) were shown to be by Tiger. MT Sport Comps are basically the same tire as Cooper RS3-S.

Am I going to go to a 275/35/20?

I'd go 275 or 285. You're not gaining anything but bulge by using a 305 on a 10.

If you want to ditch the setup...315 on 11 works too.

I think they are 59mm offset though. That setup fit perfect. I still have my black w/machines lip Spyders that I need to sell at some point. I decided to move to a different type of wheel. This will be my first mustang out of 4, that won't feature a deep dish style wheel with a polished lip and black spokes. Lol.

I have the exact same setup as you and im using steeda utralite springs. i do have my quarters rolled and a decent amount of poke. I do not seem to scrub over bumps yet but im sure it comes close. Also i actually like the poke that offset has. I think it looks mean!

Same tire? I believe I commented on your car before and it's what got me to pull the trigger on 305s. Damn you. Lol
