6.2 swap in an 08 gt

I just spent a couple of hours reading the fox build thread. That is one bad ass car. IF you have not checked it out you should. There was a 6.2 for sale on here awhile back for a good price. Really wish I had the money at the time to get it. Id love to see some 6.2 builds in a s197.

That was my friends car. He built it, ran it down the track 2-3 times (not 2-3 days, 2-3 passes), pulled the motor/trans and sold the chassis.

Car made 505rwhp through a C4. Would have made a lot more with a better intake.

I think the car went 10.90's or something but they loaded it up because the trans was causing problems.

Short lived project.

So much potential. Too bad it wasnt fulley tested. Its sad ford is droping the 6.2 in everything but the F250. But who knows how long that will stay. Great engine but too short lived.

I have a 2011 F-250 with the 6.2 and I must say it looks like a huge engine.


Been watching the prices of these 6.2's on flea bay for a Fox Thunderbird swap.

Surely the 6.2 would not weigh more than the iron headed 460 that is in my '87 T-Bird right now.
