ALright, lets start at the beginning, lol. My Cervini hood, the shipping company AM choose to ship the hood held it at a distribution hub for over two weeks because they were waiting till they had a truck already going our way to deliver it to my body shop, completely held up my build and cost me rental car days. AM recommended their wiper arm mounted squirters with the hood as if it did not already come with a squirter system from Cervini, the AM squirter kit used white plastic bits to hold the rubber line which stood out too much and were held on with double sided tape the eventually let go. Obviously I am now running the squirters that came with the hood. I also ordered the recommended AM hood strut kit, the lower brackets were drilled wrong and the struts while barely able to hold up the fiberglass hood, causes it to over arch when closed and ruined the body likes, at which point I removed them.

Plug in sequential tail lights, failed to seal to my OEM tail light housing allowing moisture to ruin the tail light reflective material inside the lens. The module started blinking erratically and required replacement along with the tail light I still need to replace.

Well I suppose I should have learned to stay away from their house stuff because the SR Performance SS clutch line I just received looks like it's already corroding. I almost scared to use this thing in my car with the gouges and corrosion in the finish.

I can post pics of the other things I mentioned if anyone would like.

These will probably be my last AM orders. I also purchased my Exedy flywheel and Mach 500 clutch kit as well as the Ford roller pilot bearing, from you guys due to the price point and the forum discount, and they did actually get here today, a day early, so that was def cool, but really I am getting tired of having some disappointment with almost every order :/

Wow.. I'm sorry to hear that you're having a string of bad luck with us at the moment. I'm not exactly sure why the carrier held onto your hood for 2 weeks, I've never heard of them doing this before. I'll make sure that we look into our freight shipping process to prevent this in the future. Thank you for your feedback on that!

We recommend the squirter relocation kit with all aftermarket hoods. However, it sounds like your Cervini hood already came with a set. Please shoot me a PM with your most recent order number and I'll make sure we credit you back for the relocation kit. I'll also credit you back the full amount for the hood struts that you were having issues with. It sounds like you just had a defective set of hood struts. I've installed our hood struts on 5+ Mustangs that I've owned over the last few years and never had a single problem. I think just about every employee here has a set of these installed on their Mustang as well, with no issues.

It sounds like you also need a set of taillights. As soon as I get your order number I'm going to send you a set of Raxiom 2013 inspired taillights (not even available for order until 11/4), that come with built in sequential taillights. This ones on me! If you'd like a different set, let me know but I have a feeling you're going to love these.

I'm really surprised to see some gouges etc.. on your clutch line. I've already notified our purchasing manager who will be contacting the manufacturer directly to see if there's anything we need to be worried about or if you just got unlucky again some how. I have this line on my 2011 GT and have absolutely no corroding or gouges. I have no problem swapping this out for you, I'll head over to the warehouse and open the box before shipping it to you. Just to ensure that it's not damaged!

I would hate to lose you as a customer and friend, so please let me know what I can do to make things right. We'll always bend over backwards to make sure our customers are taken care of! Nobody's perfect so I can't promise that mistakes won't happen from time to time, but I can promise that I will always go the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of and satisfied!

I look forward to your PM..

-Dan

Hey OP,

I wanted to pop back in and let you know that I worked with our Product Team who manufacturers the SR Clutch Lines.

So, we definitely see the gouges and staining, no denying that! However, these are made of 2024 aluminum and since they're in contact with hydraulic fluid once installed, they don't bother with any kind of coating to protect them. The Hydraulic fluid would eat right through any sort of coating anyway! This staining could literally be something as simple as water sitting on them but since it doesn't look like powder, I'm not 100% its actually corrosion.

Now all of that aside, the fitting does look a little rough and we're happy to replace it for you without even a second thought! The manufacturer was actually extremely surprised that a clutch line with those dings got past their warehouse.

So, as I stated above please shoot me over your order number and some details via PM. I definitely have some work to do here to make everything right for you!

I don't why some of you guys are suprised. AM has always taken care of their customers like this, a reputation truly earned, and a reason why I will spend a little more purchasing through them.

Glad you got taken care of OP.

I just don't think it's cool they make you have 50 posts to get the forum code.

I'm already on the forum. I'm here. I'm not making 50 worthless posts to get a discount.

Also several weeks ago they offered a $25 coupon if you ordered >$200 and when I asked for it I was told I was either too late or too early. That was kinda sad.

it's shit like this that's a turnoff to AM, i asked if they'd pricematch a competitor on an item they had. why should I call in? why can't you go see the price for yourself and then offer to match it? why should i waste my precious time calling in when it's a simple YES or NO answer

Hello,

Thanks for mailing in. That's a great question and I wanted to ask if you
can please give us a call so we can take a look with you and see if we're
able to do so.

Thanks' in advance,

Alex

first off, damn man you have nothing but bad luck, glad Dan is taking care of you, also if you dont want those tails forward them to me :D

@kona, is talking on the phone THAT big of a problem for you? really?
second alot of places that sponsor forums like to require X posts to show that you are actually active and not a dbag trying to get a easy discount, hell post a "hey heres my car" thread and that will get you moving towards 50 quickly

Ive never had a problem with AM, hell I was even given double discout on my 10-12 style tail lights because they posted a discount code later that day and i off-handedly posted it in a thread.

Well hell guys. AM stepped up the the plate via Dan and did the damn thang! I def was not expecting to see much if any resolution to be honest. My original intent was just to vent and let people know about my experience, well, consider my mind changed. With customer service like this I am a fan for life. I cannot wait to show of my new taillights! Instead of taking the refund Dan offered I asked him if he would mind sending me a GT500 TB adaptor kit, well AM doesn't sell that set up minus the TB anymore, guess what?!! Dan went and pulled the plate and hardware from a TB kit and sent it out anyways! The order shipped today, the very same day I spoke to Dan thru PM.

Dan, and AM, you guys are great, and this def makes it all better, lol. I'm very impressed, and will tell this story every time someone complements my taillights, especially considering I was given then prior to the actual release ;)

On a side not Dan, I got my Exedy setup installed with the SS clutch line and it works beautifully. Gotta get use the new engagement point and firmer pedal, but def a way nicer clutch/flywheel combo then OEM.

Thanks Again Guys!!!

konakush, kind of a BS post bro. AM is historically top-notch in customer service, even to the point where they sponsor annual car shows and give away items to participants that far out value the minor cost of entry fees. It's like a big ass party.

Any one I ever heard of having problems with a product was always taken care of. I had a problem with a product where the manufacturer was advertising a product that didn't do what they said it would. AM let me keep the original product, gave me a better replacement product for free, and emailed me some coupons. They made up for someone else's mistakes when they had zero obligation too.

You want a good price... instead of demanding it, try realizing you are already getting one. Try being a good customer before complaining that you don't get the same perks as folks who have been doing business with AM for 5 or 6 years.

AM may not have everything; they may not have the "best price" on everything they do sell, but damn bro, they have a great selection, prices are great and their custom service is top notch.
