Ambient lighting question

My 09 has the ambient lighting option as well as my color. My color works fine but the ambient lighting switch no longer works. The switch itself lights up but no lights. I've replaced the fuse labeled in the owners manual as ambient lighting and nothing. Anywhere else to look? I'd like to not spend a day at the dealer figuring out a lighting issue.

Any help is great and appreciated. I searched here and google and can only find trouble shooting for 2011+ or other non related issues.

No I didn't. Would the little icon still light up if that was bad? I planned to take the center console apart to see if it was in the switch. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes it will light up still.
