Battery harness

Hey guys I just noticed that the positive cable on my car seems to be corroded and my car stalls randomly.

Does anyone know the part # or how I would be able to replace the positive cable ?

Why not just clean it off?

But if you really need to, go to the auto parts store and by a new terminal and connect it to the wire and then connect it to the battery. If you need to ask how to do this, you should have someone else do it.

car should be able to run once started without the batter, dont think the terminal is the issue

Well the positive cable seems to be all corroded. Actually ate right through the rubber/plastic cover and gets really hot while I drive

I think it's more complicated than that. I heard that you actually have to buy the whole harness but I'm not %100 sure

I bought the cable along with the alternator harness off of ebay several years ago.
for cars built after 12/05

If just the end is corroded you can just replace the terminal. It might not look the same but it just connects the wire to the battery. In a pinch I have just put the bare wires against the battery post and held them on with a hose clamp until I could get to a store and buy a connector.
