Dry Carbon parts dont stand up to the elements quite as well and well made wet carbon doesnt show/have imperfections as much. You gotta start looking for Quality. There is a reason TruCarbon hoods cost more than competitors hoods

I would think dry carbon would hold up better bc more then half the time what the elements are affecting is all the excess resin that is laid on top the carbon in the mold. That's what fades and chips in the elements. With dry carbon the resin is impregnated into the weave so there is not layers of resin sitting on top of the carbon to fade and chip. Plus with really good wet carbon they are still susceptible to air pockets in the resin bc of the process which allows that area to be weaker and effected by changes in temp. Researching the 2 different processes seems like dry carbon is better in almost every way but cost hahaha unless you don't prefer the drier look. Strength is about the same but weight savings alone is a huge benefit considering the two main reason for using carbon is for increased strength and decreased weight. Problem now is people get it for just looks and don't care about either of the other 2 reasons hahaha
