Changing Out Shift Handle

I would like to change out my shifter handle on my manuel v6, I've been trying to find a walk thorough on how to do it but haven't been able to find one.

So decided to check on here to see if anybody can shed some light on the subject.

Here is a like to the shifter handle i would like to install but its not meant to fit the 05-09 models, does somebody know why it wont work?

The 05-09 are one piece shifters. To change them you have to get a new shifter(mgw, hurst ect)

actually, I think Steeda had, or has a handle you can install in your existing shifter.
