Anyone got an old laptop they don't use anymore?

Need a basic laptop to data log with and not looking to spend lots of $$

I've got one. A Compaq I think. It's at home. I can dig it out tonight for more details. It doesn't have Windows anymore though. It has Ubuntu. $50 plus shipping if you want it.

Hmm... I think it requires windows to run, but I can dig out an old windows key to install.

Lol, SCT needs windows. I found a mini laptop on Craigslist for $40 to do data logging on until I figured out how to get windows on my Mac (much better now than that tiny laptop)

You can also use the beta version of Windows 10. Free trial (still has a while left) and runs really well with live link.

Just had lito do my tune and i went to walmart and bought a hp mini laptop for 200.00 bucks. Worked fine and just gona make it a dedicated thing to the car. Don't know if your on some of the local facebook trader groups,but there is always used ones on there for 100 bucks and up. I just bought the mini cause i was there and walked by and saw it and figured it would be worth it for tunes and such.

It's a Vista PC originally and has a product key on the back of the laptop.

Everything worked. It was just a little slow and full of junk. If you did a full OS reinstall it'd be fine for data logging I'm sure. Assuming it meets you software needs.

Sounds good, ill set a copy of Vista to download tonight so I can re-install it fresh for the laptop.
