And terry we want more power out of it...Put that bad boy on C16....lol

But makes me wonder where did power come from. The blower/cams/heads/intake.

How much moreboost then before?

That is about tapped out for a Ysi. I don't see much more power without a bigger blower.

How do you figure. Over e80.

There really isn't much difference in the power that e70 (full winter blend) can support vs full summer blend e85. I found this from testing on my car. I never did any race gas testing, but have seen reports from others showing a power increase over C16 with E85. Q16 might pick up a bit. you lose the advantage of the cooling effects of E85 on the air fuel charge so as the system heat soaks, e85 can support closer to peak power longer than Q16.

If was no power advatanges of C16 vs E85 they guys wouldn't run it in the TT Lambo's(1600whp), LMR vettes(2000whp), AMS GTR's, other drag cars etc. They all would use E85. E85 is everywhere in TX yet all the high hp cars there use it for DD or not at all and then run pure race gas at the track or events like the TX eventational. Its the octane they want with the pur race gas not ust the cooling effect.

I woould like to see some actaull comparisons of same car same dyno same day.

I will be doing a 93 tune for DD and then a racegas tune for track.

i don't know the rules there, but NMRA for example, only allows "spec" fuel, meaning 1 particular fuel.

This year they are allowing Shell in as well as VP. I think we will be testing the pure street car comparing the vp vs the shell here in the next couple weeks

I understand rules. But there's a reason all the fastest cars are not on e85 in the end. As said tt Lambo, the lmr vette that made 2000hp that was still street legal and won the TX inventational, 1500whp GTR 's, and fastest mustangs/camaro's etc. Evo's mustang that went 8's.

I would like to see a mustang actually compete and be in the running at TX inventational. The ugr Lambo's was killing for a while. Lmr decided to change that.

Does anyone have an idea at what amount of boost levels the block starts to fail and push out?
