I took vacation the rest of the year and plan on hitting it every day, except for tomorrow. I brought home her carcass and her husband and I are gonna put it to some use! Lol

Lol. I have a few days off during the Christmas time, and I hope I can hit it hard during that week. I took Friday off, hopefully I can get some meat in the freezer then.

Already getting ready for deer season 5 months away. Placed this order with biologic last night and should be here Thursday so I can get to planting this weekend.

I know it's not deer related but I figured you hunters wouldn't mind but I killed this bird yesterday! Gotten one 3 years in a row now! He only weighed 20lbs because of how late in the season it is here in OK but he had a 10 1/4 inch beard with about 1 inch spurs!

I go back and forth on what season I like more.. Deer or turkey.. Haha

Nice bird. I love turkey about the same as I love deer hunting. I've only been able to get out once by myself and then took the fiancé once. Have had a few nice ones come to my mineral blocks and corn I've got out for the deer

Those are some nice birds!
I think I just like how much more turkeys talk! Me and my dad stepped out of the truck yesterday about 530am and they were already gobbling!

Haven't been out yet. I think next weekend me and my dad are going to hunt through Monday. I'm excited! I've been seeing deer everywhere here in OK! It's been cold this week and rainy the past few days. It's almost perfect hunting weather!

Just found this thread and hunting is a passion! Been very busy this year with racing never even turkey hunted in the spring. Kinda sucked!! Went out for the first time this year and didn't see anything. Hope that will change next time out.

If I could only hunt one season,,, it would be waterfowl for sure. There is nothing like it period. Then if you happen to make it to
Saskatchewan,,, holey moley!! See more birds in a day there than a lifetime from Indiana,, its amazing. Location,,, location,, location!

Busted one of my Easton's last night and broke the tip off a montec. Got in the stand last night and saw a 6 point after he left I heard something over to the left of me in the tree line then it started around the back of my stand. After it got closer I could tell it was a coyote and had another following behind. It came out almost directly beside my stand and started smelling where the buck had been. It gave me a broadside shot at about 15 yards so I sent one through his rib cage, came out on the other side and nailed a rock dead on. After he yelped the other one started hauling ass

Finally got to go this morning. Saw two doe about 50 yards away and that's it. Then the rain came... And it hasn't left...
My 16yr old cousin had a camera set up on a spot my dad is going to put it in this year. Camera went up 9/21 and we pulled it today and checked the pics.. That turd isn't sitting on that spot.. I am! I will never hear the end of it if he even gets a shot at some of the deer on those pics haha! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1382829277.421582.jpg it's a damn bachelor pack of bucks..

Sorry for the crappy pic. Took it of them pulled up on the lap top.

We thought the same but we zoomed in a bit on the computer and the deer behind it is a buck too and I think it's the horns from that buck. It does have some other crazy growth on that left beam though it looks like.
