I have black chrome wheels and tried some chrome polish tonight. I left a haze though. Should i not use standard chrome polish? Suggestions? Thanks!!

I don't think so. Black chrome is usually a light coating of black paint on top of Chrome, then cleared. So treat it as polished wheels, same as paint. Use glaze, cleaner wax, sealant whatever. That's what I use. Use a mild cleaner wax to get rid of your haze, glaze it (I use Adams), then throw a thick coat of wax and you're good

Chrome polish is like a rubbing/polishing compound and will scratch the surface.

Agreed. Too strong unless you have serious damage. On another note, since they're black vs polished aluminum say, you're going to see more scratches. Mild cleaner wax then glaze to fill in the hairlines and they'll be perfect.
