I am a student pilot learning to fly out of Marlboro Airport in Marlborough, MA, FAA designation 9B1. It is said if you can fly into and out of 9B1.. you can fly in and out of just about anywhere... 1600 feet of runway with trees at one end and the street at the other. The runway 14 approach is far easier than runway 32!
I'm learning in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, I've also flown a Cessna 150, a Waco YMF-5 open cockpit biplane (stick and rudder, baby!) and a Robinson R22 helicopter (my one and only flight at the controls of a rotary wing)
I have 39 hours in my logbook and have completed ground school. I am going for my private pilot license. Its a long haul.. contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take fuel and good weather to fly. It takes money and lots of it!
Does anybody else fly or taking lessons?
