Once off, those filter socks are easy to clean....... when using 93 octane gas..and just normal crap floating around the bottom of the tank.

I got around to changing my fuel filter last night. This thread came to mind so I thought I'd drop in a pic of the new and old filter. This is my Fore F-10 cellulose filter on the right after two years of running E85. Not bad at all IMO.

Looks about like mine im running the same cellulose filter in e85. Im at a year and ahalf 6k miles and have a 4-5psi drop through the filter(was 1-1.5psi drop when it was new) If the drop goes any higher im putting in the ss filter i have sitting here. Fyi a 5psi pressure drop equates to 10-20lph loss in flow depending on boost level and base pressure.

What is the best way/chemical to clean that stainless filter? I may upgrade to that at the end of the year when winter hits again.

I have seen acetone, keresone, mineral spirits. Best way is in an ultrasonic sink with detergent like you clean injectors.
