I believe for did the evap system this way from 2008 on up. correct me if I'm wrong. I have a kenne bell so the engine section is a little different. the EVAP solenoid would just get capped off on the intake manifold vice on my KB intake manifold. there is no performance benefit other that the couple pounds it removes. and it cleans up the rear end of the car and in the engine bay.
I posted this because no one else has posted one:
STEP 1.
Disconnect connectors A,B,C, & D, A & B are under the rear of the car by the canister, C & D are in the engine bay, C is below the brake booster and D is on the intake throttle body (the line for a stock car will be longer just follow the line up from C and remove all of it). be sure to cap D off on the intake side.
STEP 2.
unbolt bolts 1-4, and the canister just pops out.
STEP 3.
I left the connector by the motor taped up and out of the way
STEP 4.
CUT metal line up by over the axle point ( this is optional, I did it to get it out of the way) and remove plastic line to the Y (also optional, but I also did it to get it out of the way)
Step 5.
Have the computer retuned to turn off the codes, or live with a check engine light.
capped off intake manifold fitting:
connector moved out of the way and taped up:
over the axle metal line cut. this runs up to the engine bay as it follows the fuel line routing:
rear end all cleaned up:
goodbye EVAP:
