(This thread is a copy on another forum I am on)

Long story short both my parents passed away recently. When I put my father in hospice, he told me to get a new truck, a new car hauler, and build me up a race car to do a burnout in his asshes....

So a few days after he went onto hospice I went out got a 2015 F-350, 20' car hauler, and a 2014 Mustang GT.

I called my buddies, mainly Mike Cotter, at LRS(I grew up and raced with most of the employes there as I lived in waco over 20 years) and placed an order for the wheels/tires/suspension components the day I bought the car. They had the catback, and grill accessories in stock so I figured why not.

Went up to Waco the weekend after my father passed to pick up the parts. Mike Cotter, another friend, and I went to work lowering the car and putting the suspension on. Came out with this...

A few weeks later I ordered everything else from LRS and HPP.

My ultimate goal is to have a completely reliable 1200+rwhp street car. I want to be able to do dragweek and the power tour in this car and not have to worry.

Manny and the HPP staff have been awesome working with me and answering all my questions. LRS has be straight up awesome as well. Two very stand up companies.

Ran the car at Royal purple Raceway. 84 degrees and 90%+ humidity. I was really impressed with the mustang, as the most the other vettes, camaros, and mustangs were running in the low 13's at a lower MPH. One thing I learned is that I never turned the advanced trac off completely. It felt like the car was bogging down to me.

only modifications were:
Steeda billet lower control arms
Steeda Adjustable Panhard bar
Ford Racing P Springs
Koni Adjustables
Nitto NT05 305's
Magnaflow 3" catback
SCT X4 canned 93 tune

I was still waiting for parts to get in from LRS and HPP, but this one weekend I went up to Waco and picked up some California Special fog lights and their billet shorty antenna.

Friday, I'll be there to put my car on LRS's dyno so we can get a before and after hellion system.

Went to LRS. Jmac wanted to place my car on the dyno to get a base line and to load a SVE tune on the car. I don't remember the numbers but it picked up a good amount, and the transmission shifting was awesome. Just sad I only put about 60 miles on the tune before I put the car on the lift Friday night and started tearing it apart.

Got a lot done to the car, but caught my wife's cold and it put me out of commission by the evening.

Hope to "finish" the car next weekend. Then towing it up to HPP.

So got 90% of the turbo system installed. Then took it mostly back apart and dropped the car off at HPP.

Welded up the oil drain fittings into the pan, and wrapped the headers(my first time ever to wrap).

Also..buy an aftermarket k-member, you can get the top starter bolt back in.

Finally got the motor apart and found a bad oliver rod. It was not machined correctly and the bushing walked... Oliver instantly owned up to it and is sending a whole new set of rods.

Still waiting on the rods...Went and checked my 2015 build, took a few more pics. Posting cause of boredum.

had to get some different wheels for "street" tires. I couldn't drill out the drift II's for the 9" rear.

Started tuning on it last friday, but ran into some difficulties. After the problem was discovered it was really to late. I'm crossing my fingers next friday.

So moser is full of fail. Manny(the tuner) started driving the car, and noticed the rear end seemed a little louder then it should, friday I was riding with him as we were trying to get all the driveability part of the tuning ironed out and the rear started making horrible whining noise and sounded like marbles... WTF..

Called Moser, they said that isn't right, pull the center section and send it in...

What we discovered...

The gears where not set up right.

Biggest thing.... The F'n wavetrac I ordered was not in the center section, it was a locker!

So Moser sent the wrong length axles, the wrong abs rings, the wrong diff, and set up the gears wrong... I'm thinking the guy that put together my order got his two week notice like the guy that built my Oliver rods.

OK caught up now on the forum!

Not nearly done tuning yet, but here are preliminary results from last night. More tuning, and will probably take the advice from hellion and bump to 30psi.

8psi = 600rw
12psi = 750rw
16psi = 980rw
21psi = 1040rw
26psi = 1140rw

Very nice! When is Manny doing the final tune on 30 psi?

No idea, might not need to tune it at all, just adjust the boost controller.

the tuning he is/was doing is driveability... Those ID2000's are apparently a bitch..

So cross my fingers, I am picking up my car next week.

Very nice. Can't wait to see it out on the road. Sounds like a hell of build and the numbers so far are pretty damn impressive.

Which converter did you go with from Circle D? Did HPP set up the 2-relay transbrake?

Sorry for your loss. It sounds like your farther was not only a smart man but knew life is short and you should enjoy the time you have. Looks like you are honoring his wishes very well.

Really love the build.

LOL I asked Manny and he didn't know. He just told circle d the build and they sent what the sent. Foot brake is around 3000-3200rpm.

We haven't tried the transbrake yet.

Foot braking we aren't seeing any boost, so we are going to wait to see what the transbrake does. If it doesn't help any, ill either throw on a 150 pill or restall.
