Just got an email from Wayne Geoffrey of Ford Racing and he notified us that Ford racing has released a forged 5.0 crate engine that comes fully assembled oil pan to intake manifold! (intake cover optional) This is a version of the factory engine with forged rods and pistons with lowered compression. Its comes fully timed, assembled, and covered! The engine is dubbed the Aluminator 5.0L 4V and is going to be offered in two versions 9.5:1 compression for supercharged engines and 11:1 for stock compression or NA builds. The 9.5:1 motors are in stock and available through JDM Engineering!! Contact us for any more at 732-780-0770 or email [email protected]

i see that the cover is machined for whipple/roush blower use already.

so does that mean someone can order that cover seperately and just swap them when doing a whipple/roush blower vs grinding their stock shit?

Considering the risk of oil leaks after replacing a timing cover, I'd bet it would be easier/more desirable to just grind whatever needs to be ground on the original cover.

+1

Once you have the grinder in your hand and everything moved out of the way grinding the cover for the Roush/FRPP is not hard at all - just a little messy. You can always buy a stock cover and replace the ground down one if you pull the blower..

Be pretty cool if they sold them less covers and manifolds, I already have a stock intake/TB/rails/injectors I dont know what to do with :)

I'm buying a lottery ticket while I'm on R&R and I'm going to use my winnings to buy one of these engines!

Ford should let you order your new mustang with this engine already in it.
