looking for some pics of a CF5 on a kona blue, or some other dark blue that's close.

matte blacks or gloss gunmetal

can't decide!!!! Help a brotha out!

EDIT: I've found pics of gloss black on a kona blue, just having a hard time finding gunmetal on a kona.

Thanks for the link. I'm like 95% sold on the black. Would just like to see gunmetal before I commit.

Anyone know how necessary the hub rings are on the F14's? The rings seemed to not be needed and only caused issues for me getting the wheel over them and the hub but they fit like a glove without the rings.

How necessary they are: Not.

RIP - You will be missed
Odd. I've never had much trouble getting the wheels installed over the rings, and once I've got the wheel solidly over them they do a good job of holding the wheel & tire from tipping before I can get the first lug nut caught and run down a few threads.

But I've always, without exception, needed to use a rubber mallet against the back sidewalls of the tires to get the wheels off of them. To get the rings off without the risk of cracking one (especially likely in cold weather), I've found that 'wobbling' the rotor to get the ring starting to move is required. Prying will crack the plastic ring, which can be band-aided with super glue, which you can then plan on re-doing every time you take that ring off.

Pardon the 1-year bump but I thought this might be a nice addition here:

As long as you are posting that kind of hotness, all is forgiven for the one-year old thread bump :thumb:

Hey 2Fass, your ride is looking awesome. I am digging the the new wheels. Like they way they fill out the wheel wells. If you don't mind a few quick questions.....
What size tire and wheels were on the car? And what size is on there now?
Thank you.

Thanks! Filling out the wheel wheels is probably more a matter of lowering the car than it is the wheels/tires though.

Tires are 285/40-18 and the wheels are 18x10 +42.
