I went to a local dump today and got my car weighed.

It weighed 3400 lbs on a scale that weighs in 20 lb increments. So, correct me if I am wrong, but does this mean it weighs between 3381 lbs and 3400 lbs? Is this how it would work?

For instance, if it weighed 3401, the scale would show 3420?

In any event, I was suprised it was that lite!

Not the guy at the yard, though. He asked me what I had in the car that was weighing it down. I had to laugh and tell him "nothing"

Our local truck scales along the interstate highways say they are accurate +/- 20 lbs. I weighed my 07 GT Coupe last year and it was 3,420 per the scale, so it was somewhere between 3,400 and 3,440 using their +/- 20 lb logic.

They way he worded it was it weighs in 20 lb increments, not that it was accurate 20 lbs +/-

I don't know. Maybe I'll just call down there tomorrow. He already thinks Im nuts...

I weighed mine at the metal scrape yard, Their scales are on the money or should be a lot closer than +/- 20 lbs. Their sure not going to screw themselves out on money..lol Mine weighed 3,561 with me out of it.
