Looks like a nice wheel but 20x11 does sound pretty big.

Steeda parts are always so expensive. For a 20" wheel they'd have to be charging $2k for just the wheels

20x11's fit just fine on the 2005+ cars. It's all in the proper spacing. They are available in all black too as well as the chrome. As for machined lips being "over," they have become our most popular wheel already.

Rip-off is such an ugly word. I would prefer "interpretation.":beerdrink:

Hey Steve,

Why is the market pushing these big ass wheels on everyone? Not everyone wants a DONK show car. Buy a truck if you want big wheels. I would think that Steeda being into aftermarket parts for racing would offer something suitable for racing. How about Steeda being the first to make a nice set of 17 x 10 or something.

+1 or a 17x11. or an even brighter idea. the 1st 15 inch wheel that doesn't cost 400+ bucks a piece.

The 20x11 black wheel is only $299 each. I think that's actually pretty reasonable for a 20 inch rim.

Obviously, most people are looking for a larger rim than stock, and that's why we offer at least an 18 inch rim. Plus they allow for fitment of larger brake packages than a 17 would allow for. The chrome 20 inch rim only weighs 31lbs, so we did try and keep performance an issue somewhat with those rims. Most 20's weigh a lot more than that.

I don't think 20 inch rims classify as "donk" sizes, especially for the S197 cars, where my 18x10 rims look small. However, the beauty of choice is that if you don't like something, you don't buy them.:beerdrink:

thats just another rip-off that cost more then others.

The ones on AmericanMuscle are the same and alot cheaper plus... free shipping. And a 20'11 wheel, alittle to much for me.

Rip-off is such an ugly word. I would prefer "interpretation.":beerdrink:

I know there's nothing anyone can do to stop another company from flatly stealing their designs, but it amazes me how little shame there is in the industry. (Just take a look at how the billet trinket market has become so whored out...)

An "interpretation" would be a similar wheel with some obvious differences.

A rip-off is when you take something someone else already did the work on and slap your name on it without paying for usage rights.

That having been said, I do like the wheel, though. I'd like a set in 20X10 for the back and 20X9 up front for my Saleen.

Kind of like this, only bigger:

Those wheels are for sale by another member on this site, by the way. It's not my picture, not my car, and I don't know the guy at all. I feel like I owe him some credit since I used his picture. ;)

You can buy them from him here, with tires, for 900 bucks:

Not a bad deal, really.

The American Muscle ones ARE knock-offs. Our rims might look similar, but they are different than the FR500's. I don't think us of all people would be ripping off Ford. You get what you pay for with rims, and I'll bet that those AM ones aren't the lightest things in the world.

I will never go near another American Muscle rim..I had a baaaad experience with them..American Muscle can shove it up their ass..On another note..What does an 18 ultralight weigh compared to a stock 18" polished rim? I never found out and Ive had them for a while now..

i've never had an issue with their wheels. They come from WheelReplica anyways. Lots of people I know have them and no issues.

The onlu difference with theirs and yours is the part that surrounds the whole for the lugnuts. the WheelReplica's version have a larger area as the steeda's version have less around it.

Look at the bullitt wheel, how many versions are out their.. Alll bullitts. (Well before American Racing shut that down)

These wheels are knock offs of FORD's wheels but with your STEEDA center cap.

Plus when you talk about weight. I'm sorry but if i was going to waste money on a 20'' rim, i wouldn't be worried about weight. Its for shows or street driving only. Thus for the racers which I hope your company is, would use a real light wheel like bogarts or something else that's less then 10lbs

Yes, alot of the knock-offs are from our pals in China. Looks like the Spokes on the Steeda ones are blended into the rim better.
Still, not an unique shape,it's a look alike:tdown:the ultralights are a look alike of the old saleen wheels, these are the fr500......I don't knowy'll expect more from a name like steeda.New designer maybe just my :2cents:
