Replacing the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing in my Mustang.

Which brand offers the BEST clutch?

Centerforce
Spec
McCleod
Fidanza

Please suggest and give me the bad about any of these that you know of.

Wow.....didn't even see this section. Sorry

You won't hear anything good about centerforce, I've got a df and i'm noticing problems with the slave cylinder. Not so much a bad clutch but our slaves can't handle them.

By "best" I meant closest to OEM feel. I don't want a heavy clutch as this is my daily driver. I want one that is quiet, works well with the OEM slave cylinder for years, grabs well, easy actuation, and has some potential for a little more power later on.

I was leaning towards the Centerforce before I posted, I just need some more input from those that have used the various offerings.

So McLeod would meet my needs?

no worries... you'll get the hang of the site.

this is for your stock V6? if so why not just put another stocker in?

I "may" put an X-Charger w/intercooler sometimes in the future, but that's just a maybe.

The two things I don't want are a heavier clutch feel and one that will beat up my new slave cylinder. I'm getting a little old to be crawling under my car tearing transmissions out.....LOL!:lol2:

like stkjock said, if its for a stock V6 just put a stocker back in and call it a day. If you are serious about going FI then I would go with the McLeod. I'm running one in my car and love it. The pedal feel is extremely light.

Look in the classifieds and find a stocker that someone pulled early and score a good deal.

SHIT! I didn't get here in time.. lol. Okay, here's the thing with upgrading the clutch on the T-5.. I would just have bought an adapter plate for a 3650 and use a take off or slightly used 3650 with a stronger clutch and stronger overall transmission. When you add up time and cost of dropping the trans and putting in another stock piece, for a few more bucks you could have had a much better set up. Slightly heavier, but stronger. And not too many people make a clutch for the v6 t-5, for that reason, the market for them isn't too big.
