Hood won't open, Help lol

so the latch wont pop the hood from the inside of the car and i tried going under the car and moving the lever manually but rather im not moving the right thing or its just stuck. any info or ideas? thanks!

Can you get a flat head screwdriver in thru the grill to try and move the latch? They are kinda a PITA to get to.

Nah, I was going to explain it to you over the phone. I've got a latch off a car right now and can take a good look at it.

Do what you're doing from underneath, but have someone press down on the hood at the same time. That'll take the pressure off the latch that comes from the four rubber stops.

Ok UPDATE, we finally got it open lmao what we did was unhook the springs to the lever making them loose and we both lifted the hood from the top literally forcing it open and it just popped up! Thank you lord.......
