remove the friggin headrests? I searched. 53 threads returned. Most were For Sale posts, others about Saleen headrests. Nothing that indicated in the title about "How To" remove.

Pull up the head rest until it stops. On the post opposite the side with the button, there is a small hole. You need to use a 2mm allen wrench (or something else small in diameter and long enough) and push it in there while pulling up the headrest. It should release the safety catch and the headrest should come out of the seat back.
