It is a terrible idea to tune it yourself if you do not tune cars. You could cause serious damage. It should be professionally tuned. Whether it be email tuned or dyno tuned.

Just punch a bunch of buttons and enter a bunch of big numbers. Bigger is always better.:roflmao:

I bring a pot of water to a boil then drop the tooner in for around 3 minutes. This will reset the tooner to allow you do do your own tooning. For maximum performance you will want around 50* of total timing at WOT and an A/F ratio of around 16:1 at WOT. This should get your otherwise stock GT into the low 9 second range in the 1/4 mile. :highfive:

There isn't alot you can do with it. SCT has some value files loaded in it so you can adjust for fuel injectors, cai, rear 02 sensors, cmdp, stuff like that. There are also adjustments for spark advance and wot fuel. The wot fuel could be tweaked provided you have a way of measuring a/f. You could datalog wot spark and start adding or subtracting depending on what you see. It gets a little tricky due to the spark adders and subtracters built into the tune. The sct adjustments are fairly basic in that they adjust global timing (all of it) in broad rpm ranges. There isn't a way to know what sct has done with spark advance in the strategy tune they provide with the tuner.

Depending on the amount of mods on your car you may want to do a mail order tune. General concensus is that an email tune works for most na applications.

Their "tunes for life" program works great.
