Best of luck!

Wow! $17 for a little piece of rubber...!
Well at least I have a Summit Racing retail store about 10 miles from here. I' guess I'll run down there and pick one up....

I meant to add; You can probably get something from AutoZone to work if $17 is too much for a rubber grommet for you.

I recently bought an OEM Bullitt shift knob. I didn't know that it wouldn't just slip over the OEM GT shifter boot without issue. Well, the boot's opening was too large to accomadate the thinner knob shaft. There was about a 1/2" opening all the way around and looked bad. It would also want to ride up and got in the way. I took my happy ass to AutoZone and bought a grommet that filled the gap nicely. It was flat black and looks OEM. I'll see if I can find the plastic packaging it came in tonight and get you a part number. It only set me back $1.99.

Gerardo, did you find that package with the part #?

Keeno,
Sorry bro, I forgot about this thread. Wish you would have sent me a PM reminder. I'll drop by the AZ on my way home today. I've been too busy to even bother with selling parts for money here. lol!

I'll get the name and part number for you.

Here it is. The company that makes it is Dorman Help! The part number is 42051.
Keeno,
Your shifter handle is shaped differently and may even be tighter but I think that may be a good thing.

Here's how I solved my Bullitt shifter/GT boot issue described above if anyone else is interested.

Good luck!

Gerardo
