Doh!

If you pin the axles, make sure this doesn't happen.

Nothing some grey rtv wouldn't solve...

Axle brace is still the best choice out of the three.

It actually deformed the housing.

This car has welded tubes, a swarr brace, and pinned tubes. Stick shift 700 hp car on a Pro Radial.

He's had axle tube issues for several years now.

I told him to get the CHE brace when they revised it, but he decided on the Swarr. The Swarr is a great choice IF you weld their clamps to the tubes. Bolt on though, it doesn't compare to CHE IMO.

It is odd though that he's still having the inner tube portion twist, with his modifications. Just shows how much force is applied to these axle assemblies when shocking them like he is.

I would think before spending all that money on an 8.8 just buy a 9"?

I see it now. At his power level and combo it is time for a 9".

I told him to ditch the radials if he's going to stick with the 8.8.

If he sstays 8.8, he needs to settle for slower times and slip the clutch.
