Depending on what type of S/C you get it will come with a intercooler and if your going to get rid of the T/C you can just sell the whole package. I'm with Ron though, why change?

I think Im just going to take it all off and put a Zex kit w/ long tubes and reinstall my 4.10s. For some reason my car was really quick with just the standard upgrades everyone does. The power comes in to slow on a turbo for me. Plus I had to take off my lowering kit for the turbo. Its just a bad deal all the way around.

I think the intercooler will be fine. The one I recently bought is for a turbo and I know a few guys who run it on a S/C car.

Hey Wadman. You got a dyno sheet you can post of your current setup? I am thinking that maybe you are just suffering from tune depression. Sure you aren't really going to get that kick in the ass until around 2800 or so, but from there you should be breaking tires loose in just about any gear.

What kind of supercharger are you looking for? The only thing you will be able to use your intercooler with is a centrifugal which is just a belt driven turbo and the power will come in with RPMs then.

If you want the instant kick in the pants then a twin screw is for you but your car at the same boost level with any s/c will make less HP AND torque than you are making with the turbo unless your tune is way off.

Don't scrap the turbo setup though, someone will buy it from you.

Ive run my car on a dyno 3 times. The tuner who installed it gave me a chart that said 460 at first, then when I said it wasnt "that fast" he "retuned it" and gave me another run that "made 494tq. I basically got laughed of one of the other forums for that one. So I went to another dyno and watched the run and made 430tq on a DYNOJET. The first runs were on a Mustang dyno. The car runs really smooth I just like more throttle response. I didnt like being lied to about the numbers. Plus I didnt realize he didnt change out the fuel pumps. Now I dont trust the car. Ive run n2o for years and want to go back with that.I guess Im just old school.

Which kit do you have on the car?

*EDIT* Nevermind. Just found your thread on turbomustangs.com. Hellion kit. Would still help to know what size turbo you have on the car.

Im from S.C. I really dont have any other mods besides cosmetic things. Everything had to come off except for the Hurst shifter and the wheels. Its got a Hooker exhaust but its too quiet now. We took the 4:10s out because Hellion said to.

What do you mean he didn't change out the fuel pumps?

When I asked about them about a month later he said that the stock pump was good up to 425 hp. This story would take about two pages to tell all the details. As far as extra mods I dont guess I have any now besides the 39lb injectors. Will they work on a n/a motor with n2o and a race tune?

This brings up an interesting question. Did the kit come with new fuel pumps and he just didn't install them, and kept them for his shop?

I just looked over the contents of the kit on Hellion's site. Looks like the kit does not include a fuel pump.

US-1 is correct it does not come with fuel pumps. I thought it did. Now the question is do I really need them?
