I have a few interior parts (kick panel, A pillar etc).
I want to repaint to a factory black. Rattle can / spray can.
What color, finnish and brand have you used?

EXAMPLE:
COLOR = Ebony
FINISH = Satin
BRAND = Dupli-color

Thanks for your time

Clean up the piece.....lightly scratch it with a scotch brite pad, or fine grit sand paper, use the adhesion promoter, prime, paint.

You can use plastic or automotive paint, results will be similar.

Sand paper or even a scotch brite pad will take the high spots of a soft plastic like the ones used in our cars. I know it's VERY picky but these little details drive me crazy.

My method for cutting down the "shine" on metal and plastic I learned from an old school custom painter. This method is/ was used to get into nooks and crannies where paper and pad can't reach.

Buy a box of Laundry Grade- food grade baking soda. Courser grit and a different formula. It does not dissolve in cold water like food grade.

Make a THICK slurry baking soda, cold water and a 1/4 cup of unscented ammonia.

This SOUP will clean the grease and residuals of of anything and leaves just the right bite for paint to take hold.
EXAMPLE: i had a set of rim black painted spokes and polished aluminum rims. I used this SOUP then painted them in semi-gloss clear. They cam out PERFECT. And, I never had to scrub them or polish them again.
ANYWAY... I'm looking for the best color match.
