I'm pretty sure you know who I'm talking about. They were a complete scam. I remember having lunch on a Camaro cruise with one of their "engineers" which was just some random car dude, and he was trying to think of a gimmick or way to get into selling headers. They finally came up with tri-y design because no one else did it. Then they made up a bunch of shit how they are better, when every back to back dyno they lost power compared to competitors. The shocks, sway bars, etc were all junk and constantly breaking, but because they were a forum vendor they had all that deleted. I could go on and on, but that place was pretty much as bad as it gets.

Which is why I wish BMR would get into some corvette stuff. There is some simple parts I'm sure they could make that would really sell well IMO.

So I had a potential customer call me today.

It went like this

"Hi Kelly, can you put me on the line with your product engineer?"

ME: "Um, well, honestly - I know everything you need to know about any of our components. Is there something specific you would like to know?"

"I am looking to replace my worn Front Lower Control arms, and I would like to know some specifications on the materials that you use"

ME: "They are made from " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " and " " " " " " " " " and they " " " " " " " ". Is there something else you would like to know about them?"

"Well, those sound nice. Is it of your opinion that your arms are worth the additional price, for what I will gain in product quality and performance?"

ME: "I gotta ask - does your name happen to be Bxxx Cxxxxxx?"

"-----------------pause---------, well no. I am just calling to ask about your components and I do not see what my name has to do with the questions I am asking"

ME: "Well I believe I have informed you as much as I possibly can about our product. If there is nothing else you would like to know, would you like to place an order for them? We have them in stock and ready to ship."

"I think I will go with the Ford Racing Arms.........click"

Is this my guy?

lol

Wow what a f'n asshole.

Finally got around to replacing the bushing in my TCA022 today that Kelly was kind enough to send my way free of charge after having some issues with the first ones. Excellent service in my book.

Do you guys sell replacement bushings for all the suspension parts? I feel that there is loosness in my suspension and I was some valuable tightening of my suspension.

LOL Thanks. I'm not sure where the loosness is coming from in the front, but all the bushings are in the neighborhood of 7 or more years old so it may behoove me to just replace them all.

Okay, after reading the first post, I thought maybe it was some kind of rep from a place like Walmart - "We want to sell your stuff, but we want it at your cost so we earn all the profit". As it went on and on, it became clear it has to be someone who wants to be a competitor. That would be okay, but it appears the only thing they're talented at is being a tool who wastes your time.

We all know that the R&D and engineering time is what makes up the bulk of the cost and buildup of introducing new parts. You get what you pay for when you're dealing with an honest business. If this jackwagon were smart, he'd simply order a set of arms and reverse engineer them, but he won't. He's not smart enough to do it, and too lazy to learn how. He wants you to basically hand over your drawings and suppliers list so he can just order them on paper, and resell them, no work necessary.

Wow. I can't believe I just read 7 pages of that. On the plus side, I'm much more likely to buy BMR when I throw a set of LCA's at our two Mustangs now.

I think you're the only one to get that read. What I got was it is a whiny micro-manager type who wants to pay the price of an OEM part for an upgraded aftermarket part. We've all run into this type of weenie; wants everything given to them and doesn't want to pay for any of it.

The dude is probably the type that goes to a nice restaurant and raises hell with the waitress about some trumped up complaint so they can get a free meal.

That's odd I received a phone call just the other day asking the same type of off the wall questions about our top hats. Now I wonder who this person may be.

Well, Kelly did say the dude's name is:

Bxxx Cxxxxxx

So by some math, you take B + xxx = C xxx + xxx. Take the "xxx" on the left, and subtract on both sides leaving B = C + xxx. Divide C on both sides and you get B/C = xxx. "xxx" can mean many things, the Vin Diesel movie, the roman numeral for 30, or even porn. Since it is the Internet, it is most likely a representation of porn. In porn, there is ass, so we will replace "xxx" with "ass."

This gives us B/C = ass. Now take those 3 variables, and what do you get?

CBass.

Another mystery solved.

I wish I had the time lately to come up with a troll like this! I would TOTALLY do it. A couple of months ago, I went through the effort of making a fake email, accounts on a few public places, and a facebook to get a friend of mine all kinds of fired up. I still haven't gotten her good, but she has mentioned the fake name to me once in passing, asking if I know the guy.
