My wife wouldn't have let me buy an auto! She tried mine a few weeks back and told me it was too powerful for her but liked how it shifted and felt. Now momma wants a convertible new edge 4.6/5speed.

I hate the slack/slop in the driveshaft of my wife's 2014 auto!
Took it back to the dealership with 3,000 miles, they said it was the norm.
I have never owned a Stang auto or manual, with this much slack.
Very annoying to me. Not happy at all with that part of it.
good luck and congrats on your car.

Sorry for the jack... What do you mean slack/slop? We have no slack or slop with our 14 A6. There is a crappy delay when hitting the gas from a put-put cruising position. But no slack. This concerns me!

Maybe your dealer needs a good :spank2: or you are describing something different than I am interrupting.

Maybe he is just reallllllllll sensitve? I mean every 5.0 I have driven has had a tad of drivetain lash, which is normal.

It's more than the first gear clunk ''to me'' anyway.
Even in 6th on the interstate, without it shifting down to 5th. I can let off the gas and then easily get back on, and it will pop, like it has more slack than it should have.
Maybe it's normal, but it seems like it has way more slack than it should.

Sounds more like the shifting into 1st clunk

Not all tunes do this. My car does it on one tune but doesnt do it on another.

Has nothing to do with the gear being too low. Its based on fluid pressure from what some tuners have told me.

This is slack, not a clunk. It does it more than in just first.
I owned a 05 auto for 6 years, and it never had this much slack. Maybe it's just me?

That is fixable. Don't you have a Mike Rousch tune? Mine did that, and he fixed it...ask him for an update. The downshift line pressue needs to be lowered a tad.
