Pulled the trigger on some Dark Stars last week, got the Mickey Thompson rubber put on and went out for a little TNT on Sunday. Was looking for good air and improvement over my old crappy NT555R's. Extremely happy about the results and hope to do torque converter before I save up for the Paxton and forged motor next year.
DA was floating around -1000 all morning.
First time in the 12's and hoping for 10's someday...
Car #52 both in the right lane. Left lane gave me some trouble the first two runs.

What were you launching at? Was the track prepped? I would think with 4.10 and MT DRs you could get into the 1.6x 60' range and get the ETs down mid-low 12
Good runs!

It's a stock converter automatic so I'm launching at 2k. Really want to get a triple disc for next year so I can lower those 60' to a 1.6x.

Was having problems with traction after switching to the 4.10's so I dialed in the suspension and switched rubber before going for the torque converter.

Great numbers. My 05 auto has 4.10 and now with the kenne bell I no longer have first, second, and sometimes third gears. I have to get some sticky tires, I want to get into the 11's.

With the auto in our cars I'm kind of scared of going big power with sticky tires. They have a tendency to break input shafts with big power and good traction.

When I do my forged motor and paxton I'll probably have to think about a 4R70 or similar in order to prevent tranny problems.
