Made it again to the track....though i did not run the revised tune because i had some issues with it-

Once again 1st gear did not get pass 6,080 rpm-

I'm Lovin this Converter!
Nice times, I was there last Friday. Your car should have more in it once that 1-2 shift is fixed. Should be shifting higher for sure...I gotta do an H pipe then converter soon. I have Mike's tune as well, love it.

You gotta foot brake man! I am near 1.8 on the stock converter, on all season street tires leaving at around 1500. You should be WAY lower then 1.8.
On my 3rd pass last night i held 3,200 rpm then nailed it and Spun a whole heck of a lot....60ft was a 2.09 and i ran a 13.28-

With slicks i'm sure i could hold even more rpm but i really don't feel like replacing a broken drive shaft as of yet-

I was not going to leave after that pass lol so i ran a 4th time and then ran the [email protected] and that 60ft was 1.69-

It's not where i want to be but this was only my 2nd time to the track with the converter so i am still figuring how to launch the car...

It will take me a few more trips to the track i'm sure-

My best time with the stock converter was a [email protected] so Mike's tunes really work no doubt-

I had a 5C and Mike's tuning on my previous car (a 2011 GT), loved it, great combo. I'm currently shopping for another 2011/12 to do the same stuff to (sold the car, regretted it ever since).

My best 60' was a 1.59 with 255/50-16 M/T Drag Radials. 3.15 gears, offroad x-pipe, Boss manifold, Airaid CAI, Rousch tune, Circle D 5C. Best 1/4 ended up being an 11.41 at 119, 1.60 60', on 255/50-15 M/T DRs. That was with E85 fuel. My car didn't seem to care if I footbraked it as high as it would go or left off idle...it was always in the 1.60-1.64 range, depending on the DA that day.

update

Went back to the track last night in 42 degree Orlando weather and 1st pass i launched at 2,800 rpm and blew off the tires ran a 2.11 60ft @12.69 But ran my Fastest mph yet....116.41

Second pass i launched around 2,500 rpm ran a 1.87 60ft @11.97 at 115.04 mph-

3rd pass i swithched to a Bama race tune and ran 11.88 @113.78 mph...

In reviewing the data logs my 1st two passes shifted 1st to 2nd gear Over 7,500 rpm....Not good i know...

The Bama tune shifted 1st to 2nd at 6,451 2nd to 3rd 6,681 and 3rd to fourth 6,973....

Mikes tune shifted 1st to second at 7,575 2nd to 3rd 6,963 and i stayed in third thru the traps...

So i have sent the data logs both to Mike and John at Bama and hopefully both will tweak the tunes just a bit and hopefully i can get into the 11.60-11.70 zone-
I tried to upload my slips but it keeps saying fatal error...i will try again later

Man, your weather in Orlando was awesome Friday night. DA was in the -1000 to -1300' range according to the Drag Times website. Good old mineshaft air at its finest! I sure hope I get some weather like that when our local tracks open in April, but we usually get 500-1000' over sea level in the spring

Yes it was Very Cool to say the least.... I just could not get a good 60ft with Mike's tune....Bama's got me to my Best 60ft so far at a 1.62 But then again i would expect Mike's tune makes more power thus the reason i could not hook with his tune...

I have revised tunes from both and this coming Sunday i am gunning for the 11.70's zone-

I will update you Sunday evening weather permitting-

FYI i am Loving this converter and it has Great normal driving manners!

What tires are you using and how is the track prep?

His signature shows 275-60-15 Nitto 555R's. That's the problem right there; I've never seen Nitto triple 5's hook worth a damn on cars over about 300 hp and we're well above that. Stigma needs a much softer tire, IMO.

I agree. Put M/T 275 DRs or even 275 Pro's on it and be done with it.

Side note: I'm sure 42* feels cold to you, but it was 50* colder than that this morning at my house, haha. Will be about 60* colder tomorrow morning.

update....again-

Well i reached a Personal Best [email protected] 1st to 2nd gear shifted at 6,080 rpm....

It was another Chilly Orlando night....

1st pass 1.66 60ft 7.53 @92.81 in the 1/8th [email protected]
2nd pass 1.65 60ft 7.56 @92.16 in the 1/8th [email protected]
3rd pass 1.79 60ft 7.73 @92.37 in the 1/8th [email protected]

Once again i must say something that we All know already....Mike Rousch is Great at what he does and put his talents together with Circle D and you can have yourself a Whole lot of Fun!!

When i try to load the pictures of the slips i keep getting this error...

Fatal error: Call to a member function shareads() on a non-object in /home/s197foru/public_html/forum/includes/functions.php(5795) : eval()'d code on line 11

Am i doing something wrong?

Why is it shifting at like 6100? Is there a reason with the Circle D converter? Mike's got mine shifting at like 7000 on the stock converter.

Not sure why I'm still having a issue with 1st to 2nd. The other shifts are in the 6,900 - 7,100 range...I always send Mike data logs so hopefully he can tweak something to get my 1-2 shift higher. As far as my stock converter tunes go, it always shifted 1-2 in that same range 6,900 to 7,100.... Despite the short shift I'm still having Fun-

Awesome times man! Send those logs over to me and i will tweak that 1-2 shift. The converters make them tricky on certain cars but i will get it strait for you!
