Alright, so I have amercian muscle aka stack racing wheels that use a 2.5" center cap. I dont care for the centercaps that come with them and i tried cenetrcap decals but they didnt hold up long so heres my next shot at it. Got some oem pony ceter caps(thanks stkjck) the centers are too small to fit in the center hub and the outside is too big, basicly it wont clip in and it falls out and wont sit flush. So i sat down with the dremel and some groilla glue and decided to work it out lol

The wheel, GT4 black with stack racing caps.

Also had to grind down these little tabs to make the pony cap sit flush.

This actually seems more like a diy or pimpin it thread, if mods want to move, thanks.

Tri-bar Pony caps FTW!!!! Nice job.

Yeah man, I love these caps, awesome right from the factory.
I've wanted them for a while!

Im very happy with the outcome. I like how the wheel is black with machined lip, and the cap center is black with a chrome lip.

I need to find 2 more so i can do it to all 6 wheels, as i have two sets of rears with street/track tires.

Great job but a quick heads up - if that glue is cyanoacrylate based it will fail when it becomes wet.

I heard from him earlier, he was having issues it turns out the plastic grooved plully is now smooth as the tighter belt wore off the grooves!

So he is swapping on the metal stock idle that Ray gave him.

He made 580rwhp at 12-13psi, he was getting belt slip somehow?

So they were working on it...

havent heard about Lukes setup.

May be a late day for them both. I know the first time I went there to get my car tuned i was there till 1030-11 at night.

Thanks for the heads up, im not sure if it does or not. Its a rubberized formula for flexible strength.

quote:

Designed "for the toughest jobs on planet Earth," Gorilla Glue products are incredibly strong. Use them for household fixes, building repairs, creative projects, and more.
This is the only super glue tough enough to be called Gorilla. Its Impact-Tough Formula is made with rubber particles to form an impact-resistant bond that sets in 30 to 60 seconds, with no need for clamping.
Gorilla Super Glue can be used on nearly anything, from wood to plastic, glass, metal, ceramics, and more. Finished projects dry fast, last long, and stand up to drops, bumps, and bangs.

Nice work. I plan on doing the exact same thing with mine... even have all of the parts laid out. And thanks for the tip*, Roper.

* and by "tip," I mean the heads up** about the glue.
** and by "heads up," I mean notification.

Jeremy - nice job man, I was dubious if they would work as I mentioned in the PM, glad you had some ingenuity to get them working.
