Sealing the box up is fine. It was designed that way. It sounds worse like that because it is more pressure on the sub. There are about 6 different lines of jl audio subs. Is it a w3? Jl usually has to have them sent in for repair through an authorized dealer. They have serial numbers they check on them. My old shop was a jl signature dealer and they don't bs around on repairing stuff. If I hear it in a video I should be able to tell you what it is. The least that they will do is recone the speaker. Which could cost 200$.

Yeap. Sounds like the voice coil and looks like a w3v2 which they should be able to fix.

OK well that sucks
I bought this a while back like 2 or 3 months ago and its been sitting till I could do the build.
I reached out to the seller when I first got it. we played it for like 2 minutes in my sons car. it rattled then but quit.
He thought maybe something came loose in shipping, but everything seems to be connected properly, the only thing we found was a screw on the magnet when we looked.
So I donno if the seller will take care of it or not, Ill wait to see.

Gauge set up looks absolutely sick.

Thanks
Shitty pictures

The SOS center took some fanagalin, and I had to do a lot of creative wiring. Line locks WOT Box and several lights for the switches on the SOS panel, took way longer then I thought, but Im happy with the way its turning out.
I hope to start Turbo install next weekend

So seller on the Sub is going to take care of the repairs.
He apparently remembers he left the tube for the port out when he shipped it. he was using it to test another box.

But it will all work out. WEW

Seriously that gauge setup is awesome! I was not even going to consider throwing a single din setup in my dash until now. I'm gonna have to do some re-thinking now lol.

Great build so far.. Love the gauge set up...

I have had to re run and redo the wiring a few times to make me happy

Thanks The SOS panel took some shimming and extra work but the end result is pretty awesome, plus drilling the dash to mount the boost controller is always a little nerve racking

There are different intakes for the 3v or thats the Ford racing?

They must both be stock because the Ford Racing Intake already has them deleted.

Correct
I got the intake from Breenspeed it had the delete plates on and the old plate mechanism taken off the intake already, I imagine someone was installing a Ford Racing intake and just took this off.
So I didnt bother transferring the delete plates, just installed the other manifold as is.

Looking good so far
