This was my thinking as well when I gutted my heads. Im hoping to flow them on Saturday. If I reuse mine, I will most likely upgrade to 2" headers since I'm being told I have left power and scavenging on the table by port matching my exhaust ports to my headers. If I use the Folxlake heads, I will port match the intake ports to the JPC intake and ported delete plates and leave the exhaust ports alone.

I need to do his as well. Still running untouched heads and 1 5/8th headers. I'm leaving a lot on the table for sure.

Dam, at least it stayed on the road. I know it's summer, but you don't want to go swimming with your car.

Heads have been flowed on the heartbreaker back to back on the same bench. The Foxlake heads have stock size valves and mine have 1mm lager ones. Im sure the larger valves are the reason for the higher flow numbers up top, but Im pretty excited either way. Looks like my heads stay on my motor and the FL heads go on the kids new motor.

Here are the results. Keep in mind these are on a heartbreaker flow bench. But the key thing is, both were done on the same bench in the same conditions.

Foxlake. Mine
Lift. IN. EX. IN. EX
100. 85. 53. 91. 47.
150. 129. 79. 135. 73.
200. 168. 100. 176. 91.
250. 197. 115. 203. 109.
300. 210. 127. 220. 125.
350. 221. 139. 235. 140.
400. 227. 148. 245. 154.
450. 234. 159. 255. 161.
500. 241. 163. 261. 162.
550. 246. 166. 267. 164.
600. 250. 168. 270. 165.

First and foremost, I'm very glad your son is okay from the wreck, that totally sucks but of course the car can be replaced..

Now re the heads, Congrats! That's great! Your heads outperform the Foxlake throughout the entire lift range in the intake side, and it's interesting that yours are better on the exhaust mid-range but lower and higher range the FL outflow. In any case congrats on great work to your heads.

Aren't you already running 1-7/8" ARH headers?

Thanks, his accident could have been WAY worse! He took an 70-80 mph hit at a 45* angle best we can tell and after the passanger side hit the concrete barrier, the car spun three times before coming to a stop. Thats why there is so much fluid on the road.

1 3/4" for now. Im going to call them Monday about some 2" primaries with 3" collectors.

As for the exhaust numbers, under boost I feel they will let the exhaust out just fine.

I think your right, under boost that small number difference won't make much of a difference.

Update

Main caps are stock?

I bought a DSS main support for it and it arrived yesterday. Looks like the best thing to the 4k RGR setup to me at this point. I have a SB with the 3l aluminum block built in the garage now in case there is an issue this coming year with the Iron Big Bore.

I have been so busy building Masons new machine that mine has been put aside. We will update on his new build soon.

As for mine it has taken second to the kids car, but there are three built SB in my garage. Acually his is a LB ready for covers.

I will be in touch, both cars are coming soon
