Does the 4.6L GT and the 5.4L GT500 utilize the same Meziere water pump???

Is it of any benefit on the 5.4L like it is on the 4.6L?

It looks like the 5.4L and the 4.6L utilize the same 55GPM pump.

they claim it frees up 11-14 more hp

Cool, that's what I thought also. Just the dual bearing one won't work cause it has a thicker pulley...

I wonder how much of that 'freed up' HP is lost from the alternator, after installing an electric water pump.

What!? Just because theres another load on the battery, doesnt mean the alternator is harder to spin or using anymore power as far as accesory drive losses are concerned. The alternator just free spins theres next to no resistance and doesnt use up any power in the first place.

Its more of a track mod. The mechanical pump is inherently more reliable.
