How hard are they to install? and what else do you need to buy with it if you are going to?

Splice 2 wires and a ground, shouldn't take more than an hour. I installed a raptor shift light in mine, which is a similar unit, and I needed extra wire and some way to splice the coil pack and 12V source

Just curious why you are going with MSD instead of the Raptor 2 stage?

Looks like it does the same thing, but for $50 less!

I stumbled on the new Raptor when shopping around for a shift light a couple weeks ago, but ended up just getting the original Raptor as I found a new on ebay for 1/2 price.

We need to start a thread and everyone post a description of their shift lights, and a pic of where they mounted them....

Some post it in front of the tach or spedo, on steering column, a-pillar, or if you have SOS A-pillar they sell that clip... Oh and then there's the power outlet spot in the center dash.

I am considering mounting mine in one of the AC vent ducts. Very stealthy while not in use and all you need to do is open the vent and remove the cap for track days.

I have the raptor stage 2, it takes one more step than a conventional shift light because of tapping into the PCM. I'm not sure how the MSD light is, but you will need extra wire for the install. As for placement, mounted on the dash by the A-pillar
