My first 1/4 mile....

So I went to Beach Bend in KY last night. (Im from TN and we have no 1/4) I have a C&L racer, cmcv deletes, JBA equal lengths, o/r x, slp a/b, 4.10, I tune it with HPTuners, and 26x10.50 15 et streets. launching at 5200, I had a best of 12.76 at 106 with a 1.76 60". And that's with me WOT shifting and driiving the crap out of it. It was extremely humid, but the car still just feels like a turd. shouldn't this thing be in th 12.40s atlast? I have a 150 shot on it and it only went a 12.01 at 115. 1.69 60". Kind of slow if you ask me considering im the only ford out of the group. All my buddies are in lid, free-mod, and tuned ls cars and running 12.70s on street tires at 114.

That's not really bad i went a best of 12.16 at I think 115 when I was running 125 nitrous on 18 in rims with MT ET Streets. I found a couple of people that got into the 11's I think 11.8 but he was an automatic. Your sixty foot it pretty damn good though just keep working at it.

Are you automatic or manual?

its a 5speed. it barely cuts 1.76 60 fts. i dont see it launching harder than that with its power level. everybody says i need shocks and contrlo arms. the car dead hooks and has no traction problems. it just feels like it dont have the power to get out of its own way. even spraying as soon as i felt the clutch grab, it only went a 1.69 60.

I would think youd be A LOT faster.. I have 3.73s, 18in street tires, intake, LTs, UDPs and CMCVs and i do 12.7-12.8s@107-108mph.. Street tires, in an automatic.. Leaving the line at 1400rpms

yeah. the car is going to brenspeed to be tuned and im going to get ud pullies. if it dont trap 110 after that. it will be sold and ill purchase something with a little bigger motor.

im glad u recieved my intake! your trap speed seems low though. i dont know why though because my stock 10gt traps 107 with just my headers and i think i told you my 07 gt with headers, jlt intake and brenspeed tune trapped a best of 111.

and also for wutever reason 3v cars take to the heat worse than ls1 cars. my ws-6 run within 2 tenths summer or fall, my gt's will run 4-5 tenths slower in the quarter mile. when my 07 gt ran 13.0@111 it was april and then i took it back in the summer and ran 13.5@107 with nothing different. i bet in the fall u would trap 110+

yeah man i really appreciate it. i was going to text ya today but my droid decided to take a crap as well at the track. i think the shield is missing a piece that holds it in place. im going to call c&l and see if i can get it. cant complain for the price.

also my best pass only had a 8.16 at 85 1/8th mile. normally when i run at the 1/8 at home, it runs 8.10-8.12 at 86 with just as much heat and humidity.

just got off the phone with a buddy. he said at 9pm last night, the da at the track was 2451. so that corrected would put me at 12.41 at 109 and 11.68 at 118. still not breaking 110 mph lol

anywhere between 112 and 115. my friend james is the fbody man around here. he does a lot of dyno tuning. weve had mine on the dyno as well and it just dont make any power. made 312 and 325. and 446 and 478 on the jug. it should be running deep 11s on the jug imo.

and i live in goodlettsville. im at union hill 1/8th mile every tuesday and friday. gates open at 630.

I work 2nd mon thru friday.So saturday or sunday are the only days I can run.Since most tracks only have test&tune on fridays.Bowling green is the only place i can run.Well at least till fall when they start opening huntsville on sunday during the day.

If it was really humid, I wonder what the DA was---chances are you would be in the 12.40s in the Northeast during those mineshaft air months.

That being said your car should be in the high 11s with a 150 shot. What gas were you using on the 150.....pump?

Please tell me how you did that with an auto and street tires. With et streets my best 60Ft was 2.18, I did better on my street tires with a 2.10.

OP.....had to be the heat. My car is a two to three tenths slower when its hot.
