Hey everybody, need suggestions for new tires. Right now I'm running ohtsu fp8000 that I bought last april and after approx 25,000 miles they are at wear bars on the rear and about to reach the wear bars on the fronts.

I drive my stang about 80 miles a day to and from work so I want something that has good tread life but I still want good performance characteristics.

Tire size is 255/40/19 on track pack wheels, might go wider this time around.

Any suggestions? I was thinking the pilot sport as3 but not at $280/tire.

Look into 275/40/19, they fit great on the track pack wheels and I think there are more choices

I went with Michelin Pilot Sports and there was $75 per tire difference between 245/45-19 and 255/40-19. Needless to say I stuck with the stock size of 245/45-19.

Next go round I will move these two to the front and get wider tires for the rear.

Continental ExtremeContact DW would probably be my first look here.

I stuck with the 255-40-19s, I went with Michelin pilot super sport XL. They are amazing. With no track experience I pulled a 1.92 in the 60ft time in the 1/4 mile. They are night and day from the goodyear supercar tires my car came with. Don't need bigger tires just more aggressive ones!

Good deal! I was gonna +1 on the Conti's, or suggest BFG Sport Comp 2's. but you can't go wrong with the MPSS.

I had 255/40/19s on my premium 19X8.5 wheels and they were awesome. I ran a used set of Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position tires and they hooked so well for how small they were. I think I picked up all four with 75% tread off ebay for 400 dollars. I imagine you don't want to go used tires though and I don't blame you! I knew I was gonna burn em off haha.

Quick question about the Ohtsus though! I just bought a set of 275/35/20 FP8000s and was wondering how they are gonna perform. Any imput? I know they are just rebranded Falken FK432s
