forst off I didn't put this under tech because I don't know which sub category you would even go with.

Anyways if you were going to help a friend build his rear end and he asked you should I just swap the rear differential to an 8.8 or should I get a whole 8.8 rear end driveline with an 8.8 which would you recommend. My response was I will ask the forum because I really don't know what to tell him.

I guess I should mention he has a v6 coupe that he is planning to install a blower on. Like I said I think he should do a full rear end swap but I thought you guys might offer some more insight then I can offer

a 8.8 diff is not going to fit in the 7.5 set up.

He needs to swap the entire rear end assembly.

Good enough I appreciate the help because I didn't know that

I'm going to assume the splines are different of the 7.5 versus the 8.8

Its a completely different axle, so splines and everything else including the axle housing.

Just put 2 wheel barrow handles on the rear bumper and let him push it around. It'll be faster anyways.:beerdrink:
