Just bought a 2010 Mustang GT and will be taking it to the track this summer. I want to put the best engine oil and filter I can on the car.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would use KY jelly for oil and a big oil filter like say..... A pool filter .

That is what I use to use and I ran 15.1's consistently.

They say it's for lubricating internal parts of an engine, but look what oil did to this engine... I don't want that happening to mine, so I removed all of it.

It was valid question. Guy just bought car and is craving info to keep it alive. Not everyone knows how to keep and maintain these rides as good as some members on here. We don't want to scare all the new members away .lol. Or we could "yellow Bullet" him tell him to hit the newbie tread and stuff a cactus up his ass

When I go to the track I use 5 quarts of water and 1 quart of Dawn dish soap, and nothing but a quality Fram filter. (And make sure you prime the filter with sand before you put it on, the grit really helps remove sludge under harsh track conditions.)

Drain the oil. Put plug back in. Take 3V to the track and drive it like you stole it :driver:

Too Funny. I guess that's the initiation on this forum... Gotta have a sense of humor. Thanks Gents. Had a good laugh.
