Our first home + Garage =)

I figured I would make one of these, as im pretty proud of what the wife and I have acomplished.

We purchased a brand new home by DR Horton. (mckenzie) its a little over 2900sq/ft with a 3 car garage. 4 bedroom plus a bonus study (aka billiards room) 3 bath.

we signed the papers Dec 30th 2011, and started moving in this year, we still arent finished furnishing the place, once thats finished I can spend money on getting the garage all done up.

thanks, its actually an AMF playmaster, and not sure on the cloth, I just bought the table for 600$ with 6 sticks 2 sets of balls, and the rack, then paid 250 for installation. not bad IMO for everything, its mint!

haha, 242k it makes me cry when I pay the mortgage and think what I could be buying for my cars... I used to spend atleast 700-1k a month on car parts, when I was building my neon... now well not so much.

we paid 86$ a sq/ft which I think is a bargain. - we got them to fence the yard, give us stainless appliances, and screen the back porch and all window treatments, and had them pay 6k in closing costs, and still got it under the asking price without all that included.

haha, man now is the time to buy, interest rates are CRAZY LOW. ours is 3.875

payments are amazing, my payment is the same as some of my friends that have houses half the cost of mine. thats the only reason we splurged, we really didnt want a house this size, or cost... but it was worth it.

I bought it used on Craigslist. you can find some good deals, lots of people spend 2k plus on a table and end up rarely using it, this one was 5 years old, and didnt have a scratch on it, the company i had install it asked me if I bought it brand new, they couldnt even tell it was used.

Yeah they are we qualified as low as 3.25, but it's at a 15 year term. Payment just over 2k a month. Too much. But 20 year we still got 3.75. If you can buy, now is the time.
