I've been looking at different Flash units for over a year now but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet, partially because I haven't wanted to pay over $300 for a Flash and I have taught myself to use the natural lighting in the places I shoot.
I'm thinking about getting the Nikon SB-700 but I was wondering if any of y'all have found an alternative that doesn't carry the Nikon price tag.
I do a lot of portrait, cars, some sports and a little landscape. The SB-700 is spec'd to work from 24mm-120mm, which covers the range I am frequently in. I have a Nikon D5100 with my primary Nikkor F1.8 35mm prime lens. I sometimes use my 55mm-200mm F3.6 when needed.
I've been doing photography since 2011, with two breaks from then till now i.e my deployments. I can't wait to look through the lens again!
What do y'all reccomend?
